I am a registered ColorMailer customer. Do I have to register separately with downloaded free software to use it?
The desktop software requires you to register with it in order to complete the order you have placed using the software.
You will be asked to register/login just before payment, during the order process, in the downloaded software.
Your online account details with ColorMailer are different from those with the downloaded software.
So your existing online ColorMailer username and password will not work in the downloaded software.
You can register separately with the software and proceed with the order process.
How do the Crop and Adjust features work? (
View video )
Crop and Adjust are tools used when the width-height ratio of your image differs from the width-height ratio of the paper it is to be printed on. This width-height ratio is called the aspect ratio.
Sometimes the aspect ratio of your image (mostly fixed by the camera you use) may differ from that of the chosen print size. So, parts of your image may be cropped off to fit the print size you order.
Adjust helps resize your image to completely fit the paper format and none of it is lost. Know More
Is there any limit to the number of photos I can add to the shopping cart in one order?
If you are trying to order more than 600 items at a time, our ordering system may not work properly. To avoid the chance of any error, we suggest you to break the order into 600 items per order and place multiple orders. Once you have placed your first order, click on the 'Continue shopping' button to add the next set of items to the shopping cart.
When will I get the ordered products?
Your photos will be processed within the next business day after the transmission of your order and will be sent to you by Priority Mail. Average delivery time is 3-4 business days. For posters, the delivery time may be upto 2-3 days longer.
Please visit the delivery information page to understand the average processing and shipping time of ColorMailer products.
Please note:
1.During the peak season, or during festivals or other special occasions, processing and shipping times might be longer.
2.If your order contains one or more products that require longer processing time, the entire package will get delayed. So, the expected delivery time will be the maximum processing time required for such products.
How is the delivery time calculated?
Delivery time includes the time for processing the product and the time taken for shipping. When multiple products are involved, delivery time is calculated by factoring in the maximum processing and shipping time needed for the ordered products.
On rare occasions, there might be slight delay in Photo Book / Calendar delivery on account of longer processing time. In such an event, please contact our support team.

How do I get scanned copies of photo prints ready for my photo book?
Here's how you can scan your photos for using them in your photo book.
Scanning
Scan the photo at 300dpi.
If it's a small print scan it with magnification.
Or if magnification is not available on your scanner, scan the print at a higher resolution and later, reduce the resolution of the scanned output into 300dpi on a photo editing software (like Adobe Photoshop).
When scanning black and white photos, choose the grayscale mode. Different scanners have different names for the same feature. Look in the scanner's manual for a description of the names.
For example, if you are scanning a print in 6"x4" print size at 300 dpi with 100% magnification, you get a scanned copy that's 6"x4" in size at 300dpi with 100% magnification.
But if you want the scanned image to be bigger (say, twice bigger), then scan the 6"x4" print in 300dpi with 200% magnification, or, 600dpi with 100% magnification.
You can later reduce the dpi into 300 by maintaining the same size, on your photo editing software.
Saving
Save the scanned copy as a JPG file with 'High' quality settings.
Various photo editing programs have various commands, or these features may be listed under different menus.
Here's an example of how these settings can be edited on Adobe Photoshop (You might want to open your image editing software side-by-side to help you through these steps):
To reset the dpi (if it's not already 300dpi), go to Image > Image size. Uncheck the 'Resample image' checkbox. Then, change the resolution of the scanned copy to 300 dpi. This maintains the size of the scanned copy as it is, while changing the resolution only.
To set the file size as JPG, go to File > Save as. Save file as JPG. As soon as you click to save the file as JPG, 'JPEG Options' box opens up. Here, set quality as 'High'.
Now your scanned copy is ready for the photo book.
